Cherish your visions;
cherish your ideals; cherish the music that stirs in your hearth, the beauty that forms in your mind"

Full of love, Kat's career is an exploration into the mind/body connection that originally led her to yoga, nutrition, and wellness. In 2007, she received her Hatha Yoga certification from the Temple of Kriya Yoga and became a yogini of The Kriya Lineage and a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) by Yoga Alliance. In 2008, she took Jennifer Buergermeister’s teacher training and she became a certified vinyasa yoga instructor.

She is adept at accessing and addressing the specific needs of each practitioner: her private & group classes are open to all levels. She always hopes to go beyond just teaching a good class and instead strives to create an uplifting and inspiring experience. Through her vinyasa flows Kat invites you to let go of the past, to stay in the present moment with the breath and to create a blissful, fulfilled life for the future.

Kat teaches yoga at Jennyoga, Joy Yoga Center (named as Best Yoga Studio in Texas), Lifetime Fitness, Awakened Yoga and Fit Athletic Club in Houston. She is also proud to offer several yoga workshops for her students.  Her first extremely successful yoga weekend took place in Burnet, TX, Fall 2009 and many more to come in the upcoming years.

In 2009, she became a Certified Nutrition & Wellness Consultant by AFPA of the United States of America. As a certified nutritionist she works with individuals, families, and local community organizations, helping them to create a sustainable nutrition plan for a life of wellness and joy.

Kat works as a yoga teacher and a nutrition & wellness consultant at Omni Hotel, Houston.  In addition, she offers workshops through the hotel on topics such as mindful eating, nutrition for weight loss, and how to shop for healthy groceries. The workshops are a mixture of small and large groups and private classes.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering and she invests a great amount of time to enrich herself by reading, participating in workshops and yoga conferences. At the moment, she is a student at Breyer State University where she is obtaining her Master’s Degree in Positive Psychology.

Kat is thankful to the yoga teachers in the path to liberation: Goswami Kriyananda, Kim Swartz and Enoch Dasa; and thankful to Jennifer Buergermeister and Joy Winkler, her vinyasa mentors, for their patience, guidance and support. To her parents she is eternally grateful for the blessed gift of Life!
